Tranquillity
Western Uruguay was very rural. Horse and cart is a common method of transport.
Others drove beautiful well maintained classic or vintage cars.
When we asked for milk with our coffee this café owner disappeared for 20 minutes. We were joking that he was milking the cow until he came back grinning with a jug of very fresh warm milk!
Most of the landscape was very flat.
Flat landscapes often come with strong winds, which more often than not is a disadvantage for us. At first the wind battered our side but later was in our face as if trying to challenge whether we really could make it to Buenos Aires in time for our flight.
