Back on the coast. Quiet beaches in Manuel Antonio National Park where
we spent an afternoon. |

| Sunbathers share the beach with iguanas. |

| We must have missed the ranger’s announcement of the park
closing and stayed almost until sunset. However the tide had come right up
by then and we had to wade through a deep estuary to get out. |
 |
| We had dinner in a restaurant in a old cargo plane.
It had been
purchased by counter-revolutionary guerrilla fighters opposed to the
Nicaraguan Sandanista Government. This was allegedly done with the help of the CIA and
funded by US arms sales to Iran (know as the Iran Contra Affair). |
