| The production of palm oil for cosmetics is a big
industry in Southern Costa Rica. |

| The oil is extracted from these bundles of grape sized
fruits which grow at the top of the trunk between the palm leaves. |
 |
| Costa Rica had many beautiful beaches but also a lot of
wildlife which we could not
photograph but which made it particularly special. Wild macaws, parakeets and
toucans often would fly overhead as we cycled and blue Morpho butterflies
would bound around our campsites at dawn. |

| And many warm seas and beautiful sunsets. |
