Panama City
We arrived at Panama City uncertain as to where we would go from there. There is no road route through Darien Province, an area of jungle which separates Panama from Colombia and the presence of guerrillas make river routes dangerous.
Reluctant to dismantle our bikes for the aeroplane, we decided to look into the possibility of travelling by boat to Columbia or Venezuela.
And meanwhile we enjoyed the luxuries of city life. This is our favourite restaurant in Panama City. It does great breakfasts and toasted sandwiches.
We made friends quickly. This was an outing to find a vantage point for the ‘Miss Hawaii Competition’ taking place on the Causeway. Unfortunately the girls were obscured by a high fence.
We spent a day on this boat visiting Tobago Island for Sunday lunch.
